Why you shouldn't be a prostitute

It's funny the things you see when you take your 10 year old daughter out for a shopping trip and a snack.

The husband and I have a date night this weekend and I wanted a pair of fancy black tights to go with my dress. My daughter loves to shop, even if it's just window shopping, so I took her with me.  It was a quick trip to Target, even though I did walk out with more than I planned.  A quick trip like this doesn't usually work up an appetite, but by the time GG and I hit the check out, she was "staaaarrrrrr-ving!!!"  My skinny little girl can eat like the typical teenage boy!

After paying, we headed over towards the snack bar when she said she wanted mac 'n' cheese.  You have to get the whole kids meal to get mac 'n' cheese and I wasn't doing that.  I told her we would drive down the road and stop at Sheetz.  They have mac 'n' cheese.

We drove down the road, avoiding construction cones and pot holes that seem to be on every. stinkin. road in this forsaken city.  As I went to make the turn into Sheetz, I noticed the light show provided by a local police car.  I assumed someone was pulled over for blowing a red light or speeding, but as I drove by, I noticed a young woman being cuffed.

In an effort to distract GG who likes all things sparkly and flashy, I started telling her about all the trips to Sheetz I made when I was younger and the crazy food I got with my friends.  She laughed at me, but I did not sway her from the decision to eat mac 'n' cheese.  We ordered, paid, and GG asked if we could sit at one of the tables outside so she could eat her food while it was still hot.  Assuming the light show was gone because once your arrested, everyone pretty much leaves the scene, I said yes.  I assumed wrong.

Sitting at the table outside is when I realized that we were witnessing an undercover prostitution bust.  Why?  Let me explain...

A total of 3 vehicles were pulled over.  The first, a gray car.  The driver was a plain clothed police man/  The second, a minivan.  The driver of said minivan was handed papers from the uniformed police man in vehicle number 3.  Minivan man was also told to drive off after the girl was cuffed.  Upon closer inspection of the girl, her booty shorts and too-small tank could have fit my 10 year old!  Am I again making assumptions?  Probably.  But it sure was funny watching her argue with the cops from the back of the patrol car, while trying to wriggle out of the cuffs.  I really hope the minivan man wasn't married.  Then it would be a sucky night for both of them.

I realize it's cruel of me to laugh at other's misfortune, but this situation is why you should never be a prostitute.  Or try to pick one.  Or if you are a prostitute or pick one up, don't get caught!

Wants and needs

Everyone wants it

Everyone needs it

Some don't get enough

Some can't get enough

Slow and sweet

Like eating a popsicle

one lick at a time

Hot and heavy

Like a rich chocolate mocha

with whipped cream on top

Two people in love

Or strangers in a bar

Sometimes for a purpose

Sometimes just for fun

From your head to your toes

You can feel it

Everyone wants

Everyone needs

The pleasure that comes with it

Without actually writing about the act.

I don't know if I accomplished that, so please be kind with concrit.

But I do know I am in the mood for something like a dark chocolate mocha ;)

Anxiety is a state of uneasiness or tension caused by apprehension of possible future misfortune, danger, etc; worry (via dictionary.com)

Anxiety is using a new recipe for dinner. Will they eat it? Is the recipe a keeper?

Anxiety is going out in public wearing clothes that fit, not baggy clothes you can hide in.

Anxiety is sending your accident prone son outside to play. It's only a matter of time before his bumps and bruises become true emergencies.

Anxiety is laying in bed listening to your daughter cough well into the night. Most illnesses trigger her asthma. It has been a long time since she has been admitted to the hospital. Will that other shoe finally drop?

Anxiety is getting in the car after the first big snow and hoping you can make it back home.

Anxiety is getting in the car to pick my husband up from work, knowing there will be traffic along the way. Will the cars behind me see that I am stopped or will I get hit again?

Anxiety is wondering where another child will fit. The husband has stated our two children are enough, yet he makes no effort to prevent a third from entering our lives. I am also partly to blame.

Anxiety is the lump in my throat, the rocks in my stomach, and the lack of words to express what I feel deep down inside.

Anxiety is thinking about what tomorrow will bring.

Proof that jokers are wild

A while back I won a gift card. Gift cards are my BFF! I love shopping and when someone else pays for it, that makes it even better!

The gift card I won was for an adult site called Pink Cherry. I had never heard of this site so I wasn't sure what to expect.

I browsed through the site trying to decide what they hell to buy for myself. I admit I looked through the toys, but nothing really jumped out at me. I already own a few and believe me, I am quite satisfied with them. So I moved onto lingerie, a growing obsession of mine.

I found this cute little black number that I knew the husband would absolutely love so I added it to my cart. I had a little money left but I wasn't sure what I could get with a few bucks. So I hopped over to the novelties. Maybe I could find some little gag gift that would make the husband laugh. What I found was even better than that! A deck of cards.

I knew my sister-from-another-mister had to have these!

I wasn't there when she opened her package, but believe me, I heard all about those men over the phone. Some good, some really hairy not so much.

When I went to her house a few nights later I was informed that we were breaking in those men. At first they were stiff, which I suppose is better than having them stick together. I will admit that we did have a hard time grasping onto them and a few ended up on the floor. But all in all, it was a good night!

Things like this remind me to grow old without ever growing up!

Tonight, I think I like him

Tonight is the husband's company Christmas party. Yes, I know, it's after Christmas, but a night out is a night out no matter what you call it.

I asked my mom the other night if she could watch the midgets. She agreed. The plan was for me to drop them off after school. My brother would be in charge until she got home from work. We would pick them up on our way home from the party.

Thursday night I had to run something over to my mom's house. When I walked in she mentioned that she wasn't sure who was walking in the door. In other words, the boyfriend was on his way over, too.

I like him. To a degree. He treats my mom as a woman should be treated, but I do have my issues. Now is not the time to discuss them, but believe me, those doubts are there.

As her and I were discussing drop-off and pick-up times he interjects, asking if he could make a suggestion. He asked how my mom felt about letting my midgets spend the night so the husband and I could have an adult night. All night (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). I could pick the kids up Saturday morning before him and my mom head to my Grandma's place to install a web cam (something I thankfully got out of doing). My mom is certainly not going to say "no" to him. That right there is one of my issues with him, but at this moment? I was not about to argue with someone telling me to leave my kids with their babysitter all night. To argue that would be stupid. I may be crazy, but stupid I am not!

So tonight, I think I might like him.

Let's talk about sex

All the good things
and the bad things that may be

There is no shame here. I do it just like everyone else. Well, maybe not exactly like everyone else. We all have things we like and we all have things we don't, but in the end the job gets done.

If the job doesn't get done, then I'm so sorry. There's not much I can do to help, but I wish you all the best!

I'm not one to open up and freely talk about my sex life. Like with other aspects of my life, if you ask I will probably answer, but all you need to know for now it that it's good. Real good!

Talking about sex with the husband or other adults is one thing. With kids? That's another ball of wax!

My oldest midget is 9. I know the day we have "the talk" is coming. More than likely, sooner than I want, but for now? I'm not ready to travel down that road. If she approached me with questions I would do my best to answer. But I am not about to throw the ins and outs at her if I'm not sure she's ready. But her age presents a sticky situation. Some of her friends have started to talk.

One boy has had some talks with other kids about sex. As of last year, according to his mom, sex is a man and a woman lying together, hugging and kissing. And that is how you make a baby. Add another year, and an older sibling. Is his definition still the same? If your 9 year old came home with this definition, what do you do? Should you go with it or explain what really happens? See, sticky!

Ask me about my sex life and you may get an answer. Explaining it to my child? How about we go out for ice cream instead?
